Determination of Rheological Parameters of Non-Newtonian Fluids on an Example of Biogas Plant Substrates

Non-Newtonian fluids are commonly used in a wide range of industries; one example biogas power plants. Proper measurements and modeling such can be crucial from the design operations point view. Results presented this study covered seven samples three plants (a sewage sludge treatment plant, utilization station plant sugar factory), including mechanically thickened excessive activated (MTEAS), beet pulp (SBP), liquid fruit vegetable waste (FVW), roots (BR) corn (CW); their mixtures were prepared as real plant. The total solid content remained below 6.8% for all samples. apparent viscosity (15 RPM) did not exceed 10 Pas any sample. A correlation analysis solvent type influence on was carried out. obtained results analyzed, Herschel–Bulkley rheological model selected fluid description. Then, Moullinex method applied to determine H–B parameters. may contribute proper operation various plants, which seems flow parameters that influences device types used, well energy consumption.
